The essence of time spent with my children should be infused with glimpses of who God is and what He has done for us!

We need to be sharing His Word with love and joy to our little ones and not so little ones.

I know that the Word is powerful, and a child is no less capable of being touched and changed by its life-giving words than any grown up.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

Bible activities can take place anytime!

When our children were very small, we set aside small time slots in the day to share specific things with them. They were certainly not sit still and don't say anything time of the day either! We have had wonderful discussions and special times together, as we have shared God's Word with them and many a time my heart has been so touched with the prayers they have uttered for someone in need, or questions they have asked God or words of gratitude for the tiny ants or the warm bubble bath they had that evening! However, there are so many spontaneous moments when we can share with our children too!

"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

Psalm 119:105

The Bible is not dry and dull! It sheds light on our paths and is God-breathed!

The thoughts and ideas I have shared on the following pages are things we have done that have worked for us as a family and I would love for you to share things that have worked for you and your precious ones too.
